Connecticut OE-2 License

The state of Connecticut requires that anyone who operates a boiler over 15 PSI and or a chiller 50 Tons  have an appropriate License.  At the current time, the License accepted  is either an S-1, an S-2 or an OE-2.

 

The CT NAPE in cooperation with the CT NIULPE and the CT DCP offers the following steps to obtain a CT OE-2 License

 

If you have completed the OE-2 apprenticeship, or have documented 5 years appropriate operating experience, or hold a NIULPE certificate you can apply to sit for the exam.

 

The exam is administered by PSI, a private company contracted by the state of Connecticut to provide testing. The application and booklet can be downloaded from:

It can take as much as 3 months for an application to be processed.  It is recommended that you provide as much documentation with the application as possible.  If you are interested in a prep class for the exam.  Look in our advertiser section
