Crown Prince of Sharjah opens session of 10th SCC legislature
SHARJAH, October 7, 2021 (WAM) – Under the high patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme and Sovereign Council of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Sovereign of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, inaugurated Thursday morning, in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Sovereign of Sharjah, the work of the Sharjah Advisory Council (CSC) for its third ordinary session of the tenth legislature.
The Crown Prince of Sharjah was received by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Maritime Ports and Customs; Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, head of the office of the sovereign; Sheikh Muhammad bin Humaid Al Qasimi, head of the statistics and community development department, and several members of the Executive Council, heads of government departments as well as senior officials of the emirate.
The ceremony began with the arrival of the Crown Prince in the Advisory Council Chamber while the national anthem was played, followed by a recitation of the Holy Quran.
The Crown Prince of Sharjah delivered a speech after being invited by Dr Sheikh Sultan to convene the Third Ordinary Session of the Tenth Legislature.
During his speech, Sheikh Sultan assured the President and members of the Advisory Board that he would work and cooperate to achieve the desired visions and goals, and to safeguard the achievements and achievements of the Emirate of Sharjah from a way that lives up to the confidence of the nation, citizens and wise leadership.
After that, the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah authorized the convening of the Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah to its third session of the tenth legislature, declaring: “In the name of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi , The Supreme Member and Sovereign Council of Sharjah, we are pleased to announce the opening of the Third Ordinary Session of the Tenth Legislature of the Advisory Council, wishing you success and prosperity. “
Next, the Secretary General of the Advisory Council, Ahmed Saeed Al-Jarwan, read the UAE Decree No. (36) of 2021 regarding the invitation of the council to meet in its third ordinary session of the tenth legislature.
Afterwards, Ali Mehd Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Advisory Council, delivered a welcoming speech to the Crown Prince, Deputy Governor of Sharjah, asking him to open the Third Ordinary Session of the Tenth Council Legislature.
Al-Suwaidi asserted that the council seeks, through its parliament, to advance the development process in the emirate by integrating roles among government institutions, so that the recommendations of the council, according to the vision of the ruler of Sharjah, have a contributing role. in the rebirth of the emirate in the present and the future.
The Chairman of the Sharjah Advisory Board praised the role of the Executive Board and its concern to provide the best government services and to prepare the UAE citizen for the future, and to support efforts to protect society and ensure its recovery from the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Al-Suwaidi concluded his speech by promising the ruler of Sharjah to continue to perform his national duties with honesty and sincerity.
Following the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the Advisory Council held its first procedural session under the chairmanship of Al-Suwaidi, during which it discussed the formation of its standing committees.
The council also agreed, on the basis of directives from the ruler of Sharjah, to refer the legislation of the Advisory Council (law and internal regulations) to the Committee on Legislative and Legal Affairs, in addition to agreeing to retain the previous observers during the the last session. , namely Muhammad Ali Al Hammadi and Muhammad Saleh Al Ali.
